Over the first weekend in August, Heritage Touring Cars joined in the VHRR’s 2025 Winton Festival of Speed to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Group A and contest round four of our 2025 series.
Legends of Bathurst Head to Winton to Celebrate Group A 40th Anniversary
It’s been 40 years since the Australian Touring Car Championship moved to Group A and the first race for Group A touring cars was held at Winton, won by Jim Richards’ JPS BMW in the summer heat. Over August 1 to 3 more than 20 Legends of Bathurst will head to the 2025 Winton Festival of Speed to celebrate that anniversary, contesting the penultimate round of the 2025 Heritage Touring Cars series along the way.
Records Smashed at 2016 Winton Festival of Speed
Lap records were smashed over the 6th and 7th of August when the Heritage Touring Cars series went to Winton for the 2016 Festival of Speed.
